INSTALLING ASTRON DELAY 0.2.0 ON WINDOWS
Astron Audio

INSTALLATION

1. Save your projects and close your DAW and every other plug-in host.

2. Extract the entire downloaded ZIP to a normal folder. Do not open or
install the plug-in from inside the ZIP.

3. Copy the complete folder named Astron Delay.vst3 to:

       C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

Create the VST3 folder if it does not exist. Approve the Windows
administrator prompt if one appears. The installed folder should be:

       C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Astron Delay.vst3

Copy the .vst3 folder itself, not the enclosing download folder or just
the file inside Contents. Keep Contents and all its files/subfolders
together, including any Resources folder supplied with the plug-in.

4. Open a compatible 64-bit VST3 DAW. Enable its system VST3 scan location
if needed, then rescan plug-ins using the DAW's plug-in settings.
The procedure varies by DAW; consult its manual for the rescan steps.

5. Find Astron Delay in the audio-effects list, under Astron Audio if
your DAW groups by manufacturer, and insert it on an audio track.
See README.txt for first steps. No serial or activation is required.

UPGRADING OR ROLLING BACK

Keep the previous download and back up your projects before updating.
Close all plug-in hosts. Move the existing Astron Delay.vst3 folder
into a backup folder outside all plug-in scan locations, then copy in the
complete new folder. Do not merge files from different releases.

Check for older copies in custom scan folders and, if used by your host:

    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Common\VST3

Move only same-product duplicates out of scan locations. Reopen the DAW,
rescan, and check the sound and settings of your saved projects. Keep the
previous version until those checks are complete.

To roll back, close all hosts, move the new bundle out of the scan location,
and restore the previous complete Astron Delay.vst3 folder. Rescan and
open your project backup. Projects saved with a newer version may use settings
that an older version cannot reproduce.

UNINSTALLING

Close all plug-in hosts, then remove only:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Astron Delay.vst3

Remove any same-product copies from other scan locations, then rescan your
DAW. Administrator authorization may be required. Leave other plug-ins alone.
Saved projects are not deleted; projects using Astron Delay still need
the plug-in to recall its processing. Keep the download if you may reinstall.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Plug-in does not appear or fails its scan

Confirm your DAW is 64-bit and supports VST3, the ZIP is fully extracted,
and the complete plug-in folder is directly inside the VST3 scan location.
Check the DAW's failed/blocked plug-in list and retry its scan after fixing
the cause. Remove duplicate older copies from scan locations with hosts closed.

Missing Microsoft runtime

If Windows or your DAW reports missing VCRUNTIME140, VCRUNTIME140_1 or
MSVCP140 DLLs, install or repair the latest Microsoft Visual C++ v14
Redistributable (x64) from Microsoft, then reopen your DAW and rescan.
Restart Windows first if the runtime installer requests it. If the plug-in
loads normally, no runtime action is needed.

Security or download problems

This release is a manual-copy ZIP. It has no executable plug-in installer
and its Windows plug-in module is unsigned. If security software blocks or
quarantines it, download a fresh copy from the official Astron Audio delivery
link and contact support if the problem continues. Do not disable security
software to load the plug-in.

SUPPORT

DAW name/version, and the exact error message or steps that caused the issue.
